This fall’s movie schedule is getting a little thinner. Movie studios are still refusing to address the issues that led the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA to go on strike, and rather than sit down at the negotiation table, they’re pushing their biggest movies farther off into the future, when they hope actors will be available to promote said movies.

One of those films is Kraven the Hunter, which was set to open October 6th this year but has moved all the way to August 30, 2024. As Deadline explains, “The studio needs to blast this one out on a global tour and Aaron Taylor Johnson need to be in the mix for this frosh franchise.”

One new release date is earlier than expected: Madame Web is now opening on February 24, 2024, instead of February 16. And Venom 3 is now on the schedule: Mark your calendars for a date with Tom Hardy and his symbiote boyfriend on July 12, 2024.

The still untitled Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel was intended to be a big holiday movie this year, with an opening date of December 20—but now it’s a spring fling with a date of March 29, 2024. (This date is much more notable for also being the premiere of Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17.)

Most disappointingly, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spiderverse no longer has a release date. Deadline says, “That pic requires a number of voiceovers and won’t be ready in time” for its previously announced March premiere.
